Welcome to 1840s Plaza:
A Unique Baltimore Venue
1840s Plaza is an elegant Baltimore City event venue with several spaces available for parties, wedding ceremonies and receptions, meetings and conferences and more. Located in the historic Jonestown neighborhood, 1840s is just steps away from the Inner Harbor, Restaurant Row at Harbor East, and Little Italy. The Fava Building and it’s signature red cast iron facade was once the Morton K. Blaustein City Life Exhibition Center featuring four floors of exhibits and galleries that beautifully illustrated Baltimore’s distinct history and culture over three centuries.
Visitors are welcomed to 1840s Plaza by charming landscaped courtyard gardens, ideal for cocktail receptions and outdoor wedding ceremonies. The first floor of the Fava Building venue features 1840s Cabaret with Latin-inspired decor and a lounge-like atmosphere. The second floor, 1840s City Lites, features a White Tower Diner vignette among other authentic Baltimore scenes that capture the history and essence of the city and create an unforgettable setting for events. The fourth floor 1840s Ballroom boasts incredible 8-foot tall windows offering sweeping panoramic views, elegant chandeliers, a mahogany and stained glass English Pub bar and hand-painted murals of historic Baltimore. 1840s Plaza is a registered authentic Baltimore venue.
